Description

GLENGOYNE 16 YEAR OLD MIZUNARA OAK

SCOTTISH WHISKY. RARE JAPANESE OAK.

A remarkable limited-edition Glengoyne finished in some of the rarest and most difficult oak in the whisky world.

This 16 Year Old Highland single malt spent its first 10 years maturing in first-fill sherry and refill casks before receiving an extraordinary six-year finish in virgin Japanese Mizunara oak.

Bottled at a powerful 53.4% ABV, this release brings together Glengoyne’s rich Highland character with the exotic influence of Japanese oak.

Expect layers of spiced apple, peach, coconut, sweet almonds, stewed pear, milk chocolate, vanilla, oak and baked banana, followed by a long, creamy and nutty finish.

Only 3,195 bottles were released in the initial batch, making this a genuinely scarce modern Glengoyne with serious collector appeal.
