This is far more than a standard Loch Lomond release.

The Loch Lomond 24 Year Old Open Course Collection was created specifically to celebrate the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon, with production limited to just 4,500 bottles worldwide.

Distilled in 2000, this exceptional 24-year-old single malt brings together spirit produced using Loch Lomond’s distinctive Straight Neck pot stills and traditional Swan Neck stills, giving the whisky a level of complexity that few distilleries can replicate.

🪵 24 YEARS OF MATURATION

The whisky was matured in American Oak barrels and hogsheads, before receiving an additional finish in carefully selected Manzanilla Sherry butts from Jerez.

That Manzanilla finish adds extra depth, nuttiness and a subtle coastal character while still allowing Loch Lomond’s signature fruit-driven style to shine through.

🍏 THE WHISKY

Expect a nose filled with honey, vanilla fudge, pineapple and candied citrus peel.

The palate develops into salted caramel, baked apple, lime, nutmeg and cinnamon, before leading into a long, elegant finish of marzipan, toasted oak and gentle smoke.

Bottled at 47.1% ABV, it is presented non-chill filtered and at natural colour, preserving the whisky’s full cask character.

But what really makes this bottle stand out is the story behind it.

It was created to commemorate one specific moment in golfing history — The Open returning to Royal Troon for its 152nd Championship.
