Discover Duncan Taylor Rarest Reserve Bowmore 1982, an extraordinary 42-year-old Islay single malt Scotch whisky that represents more than four decades of exceptional maturation, rare cask selection and outstanding Scottish whisky craftsmanship.
Released in 2025, this prestigious expression forms part of Duncan Taylor’s exclusive Rarest Reserve Collection, showcasing some of the rarest and most exceptional whiskies from the independent bottler’s carefully preserved cask inventory.
Distilled in October 1982 at the legendary Bowmore Distillery on Scotland’s Isle of Islay, this remarkable single malt spent 42 years maturing in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead (Cask #89633), developing extraordinary richness, complexity and beautifully integrated coastal character.
Bottled at an impressive 50.8% ABV, this exceptional whisky is limited to just 500 bottles worldwide, making it one of Duncan Taylor’s most exclusive Bowmore releases.
Expect captivating aromas of ripe orchard fruits, sweet smoke, delicate meadow flowers and rich toffee fudge, complemented by subtle hints of Islay peat. The palate reveals luxurious layers of maritime smoke, creamy milk chocolate, roasted peanuts, warming ginger and cinnamon, leading to an exceptionally long, smooth and beautifully balanced finish.
Presented in a spectacular gold bar-inspired collector’s case, containing an elegantly engraved 100ml bottle, this extraordinary expression combines rare whisky heritage with distinctive luxury presentation.
With its remarkable age, exceptional single-cask maturation and extremely limited availability, Duncan Taylor Rarest Reserve Bowmore 1982 is a magnificent addition to any serious whisky collection.
