Created specially to mark the 2026 Isle of Arran Whisky Festival, Harmony Edition Vol. 9 is a distinctive limited release from Lochranza Distillery — and one built around an unusually rich combination of wine-cask maturation.
Distillery Manager Stewart Bowman hand-selected just three casks, each fully matured in a different style of European wine cask:
1 × First-Fill Port Pipe
1 × First-Fill Sauternes Cask
1 × Second-Fill Amarone Cask
Rather than relying on a traditional bourbon or sherry base, Vol. 9 brings these three completely different wine influences together into one whisky, designed to showcase the character of each cask while remaining balanced as a whole.
The result is exactly the kind of profile you would expect from that combination: rich red berries, honeyed sweetness, vanilla spice and layers of dark chocolate, all wrapped into a deep, luxurious mouthfeel. Arran describes the finish simply as balanced and luxurious.

The winning ticket number will either be selected automatically by the Highland Vault competition system or drawn live and announced on our website and social media channels.
