The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak 2023 Release is exactly the kind of bottle that defines what collectors look for in mature Macallan — age, pedigree, heavy sherry influence and a dated annual release that becomes harder to source as each new edition replaces it.
Matured for 18 years in carefully selected sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, this is a rich, traditional Macallan built around deep fruit, spice and mature oak rather than flashy finishes or experimental casks.
This is one of the most established expressions in the Macallan range, with the long maturation allowing the spirit and sherry-seasoned oak to fully integrate.
Expect layers of raisins, dates, orange, ginger, cinnamon and dark chocolate, backed by polished oak and a long, warming finish.
It is a proper old-school sherried Speyside profile — rich, deep and instantly recognisable.
